Mission of the Church Universal

Maybe.jpg

As a Christian community called St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, our mission is received in Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20), carrying on Jesus’ ministry of bringing good news to the poor, proclaiming release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, letting the oppressed go free, and proclaiming the year of the Lord’s favor (Luke 4:18-19).
